Danang

Next was Danang, where we went to the Crazy House (which was indeed crazy). We went to the downtown area with a guide, with her scooter and her husband and his scooter also. She took us to a night market kind of place that sold junk but also food. We had some VERY interesting food (like smoke ice cream). It was raining, but the kids were great and so patient and flexible. At some point we were on our motorbike and next to Josh and Noah on their motorbike, in the street. We did fist bumps and high fives, from one scooter to the other.

 Crazy House

Walking back alleys, we found a lot of interesting stuff, like a tailor, a few good restaurants, and little fish markets

 The mode of transportation

Interesting food from the flea market-ish place

 End results

We went to a pagoda made with beer bottles and broken ceramics, and Noah liked it because it also had an underground area that was dark except for skeletons lit up in red, and it was called the 18 Levels of Hell. Josh and Noah took 3 surf lessons (Danag is on the beach) which Noah liked. Aviva and I walked around and did other things. To get to the surf lesson, Josh and Noah took a grab scooter (like Uber or Lyft) to the surf teacher’s house, then the surf teacher’s scooter had a carrier for 2 surfboards. So Josh + Noah + teacher on one scooter plus 2 surfboards, in the rain (did I mention it was raining?). In Danang we also went on a tour of a silkworm factory, where they had a restaurant and they were on the menu, a cricket farm (same thing), a puppy farm (which is really just a place where you pay to play with puppies, a high-tech strawberry farm, and a weasel coffee plant. We did a day trip to Hoi An, and took a lantern-making class. We now have 4 beautiful silk lanterns made by the Abrams family.

We learned about weasel coffee, and fake weasel coffee

This is coffee beans pooped out of weasels

 He said it was good
