Back at school, in our groove. Aviva's in kindergarten every day until 1:30, and has a Spanish class twice a week. Noah's in school until 2:20 except Wednesdays and he has a computer coding class once a week. They both do jiu jitsu on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He has ABA therapy on Mondays and Fridays. They take turns spending Wednesday afternoons with Nana and Papa. Every other Saturday morning is Growing Together, the Jewish group we meet with, with lots of other families with kids their ages. They ride their scooters to school and back and to jiu jitsu. Bikes will be next but it will take some practice/muscle to go to school because it's uphill.
Noah likes his teacher, Ms. Kyla. This is something he wrote recently:

I am going to tell you about vultures.
Vultures are a bird. Do you know what
vultures eat? Vultures eat meat! Did you know
that vultures can spread their wings up |

to 12 feet long! They can also smell 23 meters away!

We went kayaking with our friend Dorian a few weeks ago.
When we came back home from kayaking, we were so tired and dirty and sandy, and it had been a long drive and we were all, as Aviva says, guzzausted. But Noah told me he wanted to do something for me and it would be a special present from him for me. He wanted to wash my feet and massage my feet. How great is that! How awesome is this boy! So we got a bucket and put warm water in it and soap and he washed my feet and he massaged them.
They both have loose teeth but Noah's are really loose, and one seems to be diverting his permanent tooth in a bad direction. But he won't let us pull it. Not even the dentist.
Aviva's still sleeping in the closet. She's happy there.
Aviva pretends she's a kitty, and she likes us to call her Kitty and ooh and ahh over how cute she is and how great are her little paws. Sometimes she wants us to be the kitty parent and she's the baby, or the opposite. And Kitty likes to just hatch out of her egg, just now, and you're surprised and you can't believe it and now you say, "oh look!" and then I'll answer and you'll say it again and you can't believe she's born now.
When we were on our way to school the other day, she saw some teenagers walking the other direction, to the middle school. They weren't with a parent and Aviva said that since they're toddlers, they can walk by themselves. I said the word she means is "teenagers" and not "toddlers" and she said okay, but she's forgotten again.
When she sneezes and there's a little mist that comes out, she rubs it on her face like lotion. And sometimes she licks her hands and rubs her face. Sometimes she pretends it's sunscreen.
For lunch she mostly wants pesto and cheddar sandwiches, but once in a while she likes peanut butter. No jelly. Noah likes peanut butter and definitely jelly. And the bread needs to be toasted.
Shortly after we returned, we were at a playground and Aviva asked me for help. She was climbing on a climbing structure and said there was a kid in her way. She was lightly pushing and that didn't work, and I reminded her she could ask the kid to move. So she said, "Pardoname, con permiso, por favor." (It didn't work, and we needed to ask again in English)
She is finally okay with leaning back in the bath to wash her her so we don't have to do the complicated thing that requires two adults and a pitcher and a reward after.

And sometimes the bath is purple.
Or green or blue or another color
