Some funny Aviva habits

  • It's raining lately and she wants to use a barella.
  • Her kitty is female and you can tell, she says, because it has no tail. Boys have tails.
  • She was licking her hands at the playground the other day, a lot, because she was trying to clean them.
  • The other night in bed, she was licking her hands and rubbing her armpits and her feet. She said she was putting on sunscreen. She asked me if I want some on me, also.
  • We offer the kids different bribes and rewards for things; we are using our manipulation skills to control our children. (E.g.: she gets a bite of ice cream if she pees in the toilet, he gets a trip to the toy store if he uses a cough pocket.) Aviva and I were listening to a song in the car and the words were about taking a rocketship to the moon, or going up in a hot air balloon. She said those would be good rewards for her. A rocketship to the moon would be a good reward for peeing or pooping in the toilet.
  • In the middle of the night last night, she called for us several times and wanted pets. This usually doesn't happen. I gave her some pets and kisses the first time, and maybe the second time, but then I said I wasn't going to do it anymore because it was the middle of the night. She said, "But you can still give me a few pets, right?" When I said I would, she showed me her hands an inch apart and said, "Maybe like this many?"
